File Specifications & Artwork
What file formats do you accept?
We accept PDF, AI (Adobe Illustrator), EPS, PNG, and JPG. PDF is preferred for most jobs — it preserves fonts, colors, and bleed settings reliably. For large format printing, high-resolution PNG works great too.
What resolution should my file be?
| Product | Minimum DPI | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Coroplast Yard Signs | 150 DPI | 300 DPI |
| Large Coroplast Signs | 100 DPI | 150 DPI |
| Foam Board | 150 DPI | 300 DPI |
| Max Metal Signs | 150 DPI | 300 DPI |
| Ultraboard | 150 DPI | 300 DPI |
| Paper Posters | 100 DPI | 150 DPI |
| Retractable Banners | 72 DPI at full size | 100 DPI |
| Digital Print (sheets) | 300 DPI | 300 DPI |
What is bleed and do I need it?
Bleed is extra artwork that extends beyond the edge of your finished piece. It ensures that after trimming, there are no white edges. If your design has color, images, or graphics that go to the edge of the sign, you need bleed.
Standard bleed requirements:
— Coroplast signs: 0.125" (1/8") on all sides — adds $1.00 per sign
— Retractable banners: 0.5" on all sides
— Digital print sheets: 0.125" on all sides
— Large format signs: 0.25" on all sides
If your design has a white or solid color border, you may not need bleed — the border acts as a buffer.

Should I use CMYK or RGB?
CMYK is preferred for print work — it's the color model our presses use. RGB files will be converted to CMYK during printing, which can cause color shifts, especially with saturated blues, greens, and reds.
If you're designing in Adobe products (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), set your document to CMYK from the start. If you're using Canva or another online tool, export in the highest quality PDF available.

Ordering & Payment
Do you send a proof before printing?
Yes — always. After you upload your artwork, we review it and send you a digital proof by email before anything goes to press. You approve the proof, we start production. Nothing prints without your sign-off.
Proofs are typically sent within 2–4 hours during business hours (Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM). Approving your proof quickly keeps your turnaround time on track.

What if my file has issues?
If we spot any problems — low resolution, missing bleed, incorrect color mode, font issues — we'll contact you immediately with specific feedback so you can fix and resubmit. We never print a file we know has a problem. Download the file specification sheet for your product to avoid the most common issues.
How does the artwork upload process work?
After placing your order, upload your artwork via our Hightail page. Include your order number in the file name or message — this is how we match your artwork to your order. We'll confirm receipt and review your file before starting production.
Is Georgia sales tax applied to my order?
Yes — Georgia sales tax of 8% is applied to all orders at checkout. Tax-exempt organizations should contact us before ordering to set up a tax-exempt account.
Can I place an order by phone or email?
Absolutely. Text or call us at 706.409.7249 or email orders@preprint.net. For custom or high-volume orders, a direct conversation is often the fastest way to get things right.
Do you offer discounts for large orders?
Yes — our pricing is tiered, so the more you order, the lower your per-unit cost. This is built into our online pricing for coroplast signs, large format signs, and paper posters. For very large orders or ongoing accounts, contact us to discuss volume pricing.
Turnaround & Shipping
How fast can you turn around my order?
Most standard orders are ready in 1–2 business days from artwork approval. A few yard signs, a poster, or a retractable banner? Usually same-day or next-day. 500 signs? Give us 3–4 days. See our full turnaround guide for details. Need it faster? Call us — we make it work.
Do you ship orders?
Yes. Check the shipping box at checkout and we'll calculate the cost based on your order size and contact you before processing. Local pickup is also available at our Atlanta facility Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM.
